Well I went out along the river again this morning around 9 and found a potential looking tributary. after walking up it I caught all these within an hours time. and saw several more turtles and also a dead Black Rat Snake about 3ft long on the bank.

Yellow bellied water snake about 3ft found swimming up the creek. I played with him for a little while before letting him go. :D

Two Male RES's. The one I found just sitting on the bottom of the shallow creek looking up at me, and the other was stuck in a 3 way fork on a branch overhanging the creek. I felt bad for him, he looked so funny trying to get away just running in the air

I found this BIG male bullfrog just sitting at the edge of the creek bank, he wasn't afraid of anything! I walked right up put my hand over and he acted like it was something routine! even after letting him go again on the way back, he just sat there as I took pics, One of the turtles even crawled over him and he still didn't budge! Finally I set him in some deeper water and he calmly swam off.

After heading back down the creek I spotted this Spiney Softshell basking in some very shallow water, when he saw me he just stuck his head in the mud and that was it. I put him in the net for the pic cause he was pretty camouflaged in that sand. :D Fisrt softshell for me ever!

Lastly I found this Hatchling Blotched Water snake on the way back basking on the sandy road. I brought him back in case anybody would want him? if not I'll let him go tommorrow before i head to the meeting.

You don't need a bag, just grab them, and they will latch onto you automatically for convenience   .

Couple of snakes stuck to my arms, driving a stick shift, very lightweight truck, highwinds & gravel roads. No thanks. Just make sure I get a hook and some bags in the truck tonight. :D

I have done the lightweight truck on gravel thing amazing how big a ditch you can clear if you set your mind to it ... ;)

Great finds! I have to admit I haven't gone out looking for critters since I was around 12 - got the bug again now heh.

A good picture of one of the rare primates in Oklahoma, possibly Bigfoot. (Michael, this is humor)
The home of redfoot torts: Chief, Wilma, Acorn, Joe
Princess, the cat
One White's tree frog
2 tiger-legged monkey tree frogs
3 fire-belly toads, 2 dart frogs,
